Why Local matters‍ ‍

Buying local means fresher produce, fewer transport kilometres, and a closer connection to the food you eat. Our microgreens are grown right here in Brisbane’s Bayside and delivered directly to you with minimal time between harvest and your plate to ensure peak freshness, and quality produce.

Choosing local supports small growers and keeps food production closer to the people who consume it.

What are Microgreens

Microgreens are young, nutrient dense vegetable and herb greens, harvested early for peak flavor, and delicate texture. They’re a true powerhouse of flavour and nutrition, often containing higher concentrations of vitamins and antioxidants than their mature counterpart. Their vibrant colours add a fresh, eye catching finish to any dish, while delivering a natural boost of goodness in every bite.

Delicious ways to enjoy Microgreens

Whether you’re adding flavour to everyday meals, creating standout dishes, or focusing on fresh nutritious food, our microgreens bring colour, taste and vitality to every plate.

Microgreens are incredibly versatile and can be used in almost any meal. From adding a fresh layer to salads, sandwiches, and wraps, to topping eggs, soups and pizzas, they bring a burst of flavour, colour, and texture to everyday dishes. They can be blended into smoothies and juices for a nutrient boost, mixed into sauces like pesto, or used as a garnish to finish a plate with a professional touch. Whether you’re cooking in the kitchen or putting together a quick meal on the go, microgreens are an easy way to elevate meals while adding freshness and depth.

Why Microgreens are so powerful

Microgreens are one of the most concentrated sources of nutrition you can add to your meals. Harvested at their earliest stage, they deliver high levels of vitamins C, E, and K, along with essential minerals like iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, supporting energy, immunity, and overall wellbeing. Microgreens are rich in anthocyanins, which are antioxidants. They help protect against oxidative stress, inflammation and chronic disease. Microgreens contain fibre that supports digestive health, promoting regularity and gut function. The natural compounds that microgreens contain help promote the body’s detoxification process.

Because they're picked so young, the plant holds its nutrients in a more concentrated form, meaning more benefit in every bite. Even a small handful each day can make a meaningful difference.

Broccoli microgreens are a standout example. They're rich in sulforaphane, a natural compound studied for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, along with its role in supporting long term health.
